The Deerfield/Highland Park youth football program is building momentum in its second season. On Sunday, Sept. 8, the seventh/eighth grade team played tough against Evanston’s squad. After falling behind early, the team mounted a strong comeback by scoring two consecutive touchdowns. Although the Warrior/Giants had the chance to tie the game late, the Wildkits ultimately prevailed by the score of 27-13. Deerfield/Highland played with tremendous heart and is looking forward to its next game on Sept. 15 at noon at Wolters Field.
