Highland Park swimmer Tobe Obochi put his team first Saturday, Feb. 16, in an effort to help the Giants be as successful as possible at their own sectional.

Obochi only competed in one individual event at the sectional while participating in all three relays.

“I knew we could send all three relays to state,” Obochi said. “If I swam on all three of them, that would be the better thing to do for the team.”

That plan paid off as the Giants won all three relays, qualifying them for the state finals, a first in team history.
