The biggest moment of his young life was about to unfold, and wouldn’t you know it, Francesco Moore was in the weight room. 

Starting Jan. 11 in Chicago, Major League Soccer teams one by one selected amateur athletes to their rosters, and Moore, a Highland Park native ranked by TopDrawerSoccer.com as a top-50 prospect, was a good bet to be chosen. 

But instead of getting ready to celebrate, Moore did what he knows best.
