New Trier football team’s Oct. 18 home field 31-13 triumph over archrival Glenbrook North was more than just a win for the Trevians; it was also a victory for 17-year-old New Trier senior Olivia Sergot, who is battling a rare form of kidney cancer.

Determined to raise awareness about pediatric cancer, Sergot sold nearly $7,000 worth of bright yellow $10 “Go Gold” Cal’s Angels T-shirts before the game, using social media to spread the word.
