In 2069, when Highland Park celebrates its bicentennial, I will be 76 years old.

For myself, a 26-year-old, that’s an impossible thought. Although the rational part of my brain knows that I will continue to get older every day, there’s another part of my brain that is firmly rooted in the belief that I will be young forever — I will never experience the aches and pains of my parents and grandparents, I will never not know what the trendy music is (although I’m already beginning to fail on that) and I will never not be considered a young person.
