When Michael Lubelfeld, the superintendent of North Shore School District 112 and Lindsey Rose, the director of languages for the district, traveled to China in November, it wasn’t just for a vacation.

Lubelfeld and Rose were two of a 150-member delegation that traveled to China from Nov. 2 through Nov. 11 to learn about multicultural education through the College Board — a non-profit formed to expand access to higher education.
