Judging from the enthusiasm of the 32 participants in the inaugural on Nov. 24, the Twisted Turkey Triathlon at the Recreation Center of Highland Park is destined to become an annual part of the Thanksgiving week recreational menu just like turkey on the Thanksgiving Day dinner menu.

Participants in the non-competitive indoor event ranged in age from 73-year-old Bob Dewar of Highland Park to 12-year-old Hayes Hellebusch of Glencoe.
