Even a rare spring snowstorm couldn't put a damper on Highland Park's love of trees.

Inclement weather forced the annual Arbor Day celebration indoors to Ravinia School instead of the original location of Jens Jensen Park.

A variety of local supporters, including the city's police and fire departments, provided information and free items at tables lined around the school’s gym. As acoustic duo Acoustic Generation played classic rock hits, attendees strolled about eating popcorn and sipping lemonade.
