Shortly after moving to Glenview around the turn of the century, Carol Freeman found her calling — finding, photographing and teaching others about Illinois’ endangered species.

Freeman launched the Team Green Environmental Network in 2000 and established it as a nonprofit three years later. The initiative was “created with the mission of environmental education,” and almost two decades later, Freeman is putting all of her professional and artistic efforts into that cause.
