Hundreds of Highland Park parents, students and civic-minded residents turned out Saturday, Sept. 28 at the Centennial Ice Arena to honor the memory of fallen Illinois State Trooper Christopher Lambert and to raise funds to help out his widow and two small children.

Skate for Scott’s Law, organized by the Highland Park Giants Hockey Association, was also designed to raise awareness of Scott’s Law, which requires drivers to slow down and move over one lane, if possible, when approaching a stopped emergency vehicle attending to business on the side of the road.
