For most recent college graduates, their path after graduation is searching for jobs in the field they received their degree in until they land one.

Highland Park resident Rachel Jacoby’s path is a little different.

After graduating from the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, Jacoby packed up and moved to Malaysia in January, where she’ll be teaching English in a remote town in northern Malaysia through October of this year.
