The Highland Park City Council approved the purchase of five replacement police vehicles, to be purchased in 2019 but due to Ford Motor Company production delays, the vehicles were not received last year.

But the time has come for the City, and so the City Council passed an ordinance amending its 2020 budget at its Jan. 13 regular meeting.

The city amended its projected expenditures by $223,237.53 in order to purchase the five vehicles.
