Highland Park native Elissa Barsky fell in love with street art and murals while on a five-month backpacking trip that she took after graduating from college.

The trip took her through Europe and then Mexico, and when she returned back to the United States, she felt creatively inspired.

“I wanted to create the same thing that people create through street art, by transforming something that would normally be overlooked, like a wall or the side of a building,” Barsky said. “But I wanted to do that with apparel.”
