Bartaco’s grilled corn ($2.50), a traditional Mexican dish known as elote, is covered in lime, cotija cheese and cayenne pepper.

Diners can also order $2.50 tacos with baja fish (left), portobello mushrooms (right), pork carnitas, swordfish, carne asada and a number of vegetarian options.
The Reviver cocktail blends gin, cucumber, mint, mango nectar and lime juice.

The coastal beaches of Southern California and dining out in downtown Deerfield usually aren’t associated experiences. 

But the management team behind Deerfield’s bartaco believes a visit to its restaurant evokes the feeling of a vacation along the shore, giving guests an escape from the outside world.
