Backed by a full band, legendary singer Queen Latifah brought the house down on Saturday, Aug. 31 at Ravinia Festival.

A New York native who has been making music since she was 18, the Queen played all of the hits, including “Ladies First,” the hit single off of her first album “All Hail the Queen.” Latifah also did plenty of covers that highlighted her vocal range, like Al Green’s “Simply Beautiful.”

The six-time Grammy-Award nominee then came out for an encore, showcasing her rap skills by performing “Come Into My House.”
