The large "feline-type" animal that was recorded roaming through a ravine on Sunday morning in Highland Park has been confirmed as a domestic cat.

The city released a statement and said that a resident living in the area close to Beech Street, where the animal was seen in a ravine, contact the city to inform them that it was their Savannah cat.

"The Savannah cat that lives in the area of the sighting is 20 inches long, weighs 30 pounds and has markings identical to the feline observed and caputured on video," wrote the city in a release.
