The Highland Park City Council deliberated over a consideration of the City’s Plan and Design Commission’s recommendations regarding a four-story, 27-unit multiple family residential planned development at 1554, 1564 and 1576 Oakwood Ave. during its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, March 21.

Ultimately, the council voted unanimously to direct corporation counsel Steve Elrod to prepare a document consistent with denial of a proposed zoning amendment that would change the development from an RM1 classification to an RM2.
