The three Republicans vying for the Illinois 10th Congressional District seat made their arguments Sunday at North Shore Suburban Beth El for why they would be best suited to replace Congressman Brad Schneider (D—Deerfield).

Event organizer Michael Salberg said the event wasn’t just for those running for the 10th District, but no other Republicans seeking election in 2018 agreed to attend.

“We’ve done it for over 40 years,” Salberg said. “We’ve always been a political synagogue.”
