The 34th annual Port Clinton Art Festival and the 11th annual Taste of Highland Park took place on Aug. 25 through Aug. 27 in downtown Highland Park, attracting approximately 85,000 visitors. While both fairs are veterans among suburban festivals, there were many new things to see and taste this year.

Of the 260 participating artists, 80 were new, which festival organizer Amy Amdur said made the show fresh for people who attend annually. The new restaurant on the scene was Onion Garden, joining 12 other local food vendors.
