Elizabeth Garlovsky was elected the new president of the Township High School District 113 Board of Education during the reorganization meeting that was part of the May 14 regular meeting.

The vote was 5-2. David Small and Alena Laube cast the nay votes.

Garlovsky is an attorney who grew up in Highland Park and now resides in Deerfield and was elected to the board in April 2017.

As president she succeeds Michelle Culver, who remains a board member.
