The District 113 Board of Education ended its relationship with embattled Superintendent Christopher Dignam during a special meeting Tuesday, May 22.

Board members approved 5-1 a separation agreement, which includes a $300,000 severance, with first-year leader Dignam that goes into effect June 30. Alena Laube was the lone dissenter. Board member David Small did not attend the meeting, but said in a statement that he would have voted against the separation agreement if he was there.
