Brisket fans will enjoy More Cowbell ($8.29), a beef brisket sandwich covered with smoked provolone and topped with crispy onions, green peppers and a drizzle of horseradish sauce in between soft Texas toast slices.
The Motherload ($59.99) is the restaurant’s signature large order, consisting of servings of brisket, pulled pork, turkey, ribs, chicken, sausag and sides from macaroni and cheese and collared greens to french fries and corn bread.

Like the flavors in the meat it smokes daily, City Barbeque has layers to its business.

The Ohio-based company recently brought those layers — and flavors — to Deerfield as part of a rapid Midwest expansion.

Deerfield marks the smokery’s third Illinois location to open in the past six months, as City Barbeque hopes to bring quality barbecue fare to a market that it saw as noticeably underserved.
