The New Trier boys golf team is an experienced squad. And even though Daniel Tanaka is only a sophomore, he is every bit as important as the upperclassmen on the team as he is consistently one of the Trevians’ top golfers. He showed that Saturday, Sept. 9, during the 12-team Twin Orchard Invitational — including Highland Park — at Twin Orchard Country Club in Long Grove. Tanaka shot a one-over par 71 which tied him for the second lowest score on the day. Stevenson’s Jackson Bussell was the low medalist with a 67.
