The holidays are often looked at as time when all are happy, cheerful and generous. However, without sustaining the ‘giving spirit,’ holiday giving is no more than a chance to feel good while effecting no actual change.

Statistics show that around the holidays, more people give to charity than any other time of year.

According to Giving USA’s 2015 annual report, 72 percent of that year’s charitable giving was done during the holidays.
